Chocolate Bruschetta

Salt enhances the chocolate flavor. For best results, use good-quality chocolate and coarse sea salt. For a different taste, garnish with fresh mint leaves instead of orange rind.

Ingredients:

10 Slices of diagonally cut French bread (about 1/4" thick)

5 oz. Bittersweet chocolate (60 to 70 percent cocoa) finely chopped (about 1 c.)

1/4 tsp. Coarse sea salt

Directions:

Preheat broiler.

Lightly coat bread with cooking spray. Place on a baking sheet and broil on each side for apx. 3 minutes - or until toasted. Remove from oven.

Reduce oven temperature to 350.

Sprinkle each bread slice with about 1/2 T. chocolate. Bake 5 minutes or until chocolate melts. Sprinkle with salt and garnish with orange rind or mint if desired. Serve warm.
